I had one of my Python recipes selected for O’Reilly’s Python CookbookQuicksort in Three Lines. Still, I got a free copy of the book, and at about $30 retail that means I made $10 per line of code. Not too shabby…
I have a wide variety of interests and have worked on all sorts of projects. I used to do a lot of work in machine learning. Here are some of the things I did:
Applied support vector machines to forecasting foreign exchange markets
Studied using the ARAVQ vector quantization algorithm for learning internal representations of environments in robotics and using those representations for autonomous control
Explored Pseudocubes, a new representation of boolean functions due to Fabrizio Luccio and Linda Pagli
Looked for evidence of compensatory mutations in the Avida digital life environment.
