It looks like the MacWeb has finally noticed my baby! No, not that one. The ugly one. And hey, I got a shout out from no less than John Gruber, which probably single-handedly advances me a degree or two closer to Kevin Bacon.

It’s a nice feeling to see your name in the blogs you read on a daily basis, even if it happens on a Friday at 10PM PST and by Monday I’ll be the only one who remembers this ever happened. Maybe this is the push I need in order to finally get this thing to v1.0 status.

Greetings -
Thanks so much for your interesting program – I came to it from a post on the OSXS server list / via the Bombich site.

However – I’ve obviously done something wrong – I’m not much of a programmer, really a Cisco geek -
- unpacked
- tried to RTFM,
- make seemed to run fine
- “bbouncer” from within that directory == command not found
so – hmmm – I’m looking at it in this dir …
- dir is 344k now, 3 new items in /util/ctool-1.2.3/
AFAIK I didn’t miss anything in the readme.

Any hints to the lame would be appreciated –

I was hoping to run this, then pass on to our IT folks, and the multimedia lab –

Thanks,

regards,
John Gonder

Off the top of my head, I wonder if the current directory is in your PATH variable. Try ./bbouncer (note the leading “./”). OTOH, if you’re having trouble at this stage you might have a hard time using BB — it’s not really designed for great user-friendliness.
